Picking my battles, with the one who battles BEST!

Lately, wherever we go, both girls have to take a baby with them. FINE, I tell them, but it is your responsibility. Yesterday we went to Target and Avery walked out of the house with a baby in her baby backpack, a baby in the STROLLER, 2 diaper bags and her purse. ABSOLUTELY NOT, I quickly yelled from the car, "it all goes back in the house." A fit was thrown, ofcourse, a very dramatic fit, might I add. After realizing the neighbors did not want to hear my 5 year old yell from the top of her lungs, I gave in and said, "It all stays in the car, only 1 baby is allowed in the store." A pouty OK, was said, and we were off to the store, AFTER all the babies were buckeled up in the very back. Avery even tried to make Adi give up her carseat for one of the babies. We pulled into Target and the whinny begging instantly began, which slowly turned into another screaming fit, as I said NO, to all of her baby items. Too bad for her I am not the nicest mom and quickly threatened to take her right home to sit in her room, which in turn she would not get a new bathing suit. Adison did not help by quietly saying,"Not me huh mommy, I am being good." and in her sassy little voice Adison turned to Avery and said, "I'm being gooooooood, I get a neeeewwwww baaaathing suit."
I finally gave in a little and we ended up in the store with Adison carring a baby in a blanket, and Avery with a baby in the baby backpack, a baby wrapped in a blanket, 2 diaper bags, and her purse. Again I said, It is all your responsibility, if it gets lost, IT GETS LOST!!!! It all ended up in the front of the cart except for the baby in the backpack. I had 2 babies wrapped in blankets. I got a lot of wierd looks, and everyone thought Ave looked so cute with her little backpack.
On the way into the store, I said, "Avery HURRY UP", as she lagged behind. Her response, "Mommy, I am stepping on every crack, so I break your back, since you didn't let me bring the stroller in." Such a sweet little girl, I am hoping she doesn't quite understand what that means.

Here Kitty Kitty

I always keep my house clean, but yesterday I SCRUBBED my kitchen, including the floor. I scrubbed that floor by hand. My kitchen was so clean that I just kept walking in there to look at it. I didn't even want the girls to eat lunch in there. Am I the only one who has those days?
Anyways, I walked in the kitchen to find Adison drinking water and eating crackers and oranges on my clean clean floor. Avery had convinced her that she was her kitty. I kepy hearing "Here kitty kitty, come get your food." I had no idea it was real food. Atleas the floor was clean for her to eat off of. Now it is not spick and span like I LOVE IT!!! Ohwell, It couldn't last forever.

Problem solved

One of my pet peeves is long dirty fingernails on my kids. I trim their finger and toenails on a regular basis. The past few monthes, Adison has refused to let me anywhere near her toes. Her nails were getting quite long and it was DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! I finally started clipping her toenails while she was sleeping, a few at a time, until she started stirring. Well, she has decided taking matters into her own hands or should I say feet!!! Take a look at the below picture. I find her like this several times a day. You may say GROSS, I say PROBLEM SOLVED. Another battle ended.

Gross I know!!!!

I KNOW that my kids know the rules about putting things up their noses, and it has never really been a problem. Monday night I had to run an errand and decided to take Adison with me, with the hope that she would fall asleep in the car for the night. No such luck, since my trip was cut short due to the fact that Adison shoved a piece of toilet paper up her nose. I could hear her talking funny and sniffing a lot. She finally told me what she had done. Trying not to laugh, I said "Are you kidding me Adison, why would you do that?" Her response "Daddy does." (Long story)
I went right home, looked up her nose, and could see it. It looked really small. I was not worried about it, but it was bothering her, so I spent 45 min. trying to get her to blow this little piece of tissue out of her nose. I even had her take a big sniff of pepper in hopes she would sneeze. NO LUCK, she just said "MMM that smells good mom." FINALLY after 45 min. she blew her nose and out flew this little wad of tissue, much bigger than what I thought. It was a relief to have it out of her nose. I hope she learned her lesson, but who knows. Atleast now she knows how to blow her nose real hard if she pulls this stunt again.

Jazz game

On February 10, we went to the Jazz vs. Lakers game. It was so much fun, with GREAT seats. I had such a fun time spending the evening with Tyler. I am not going to lie, I was so excited to see Kobe Bryant, and was very disappointed when he didn't play. I did get to see Lamar Odom though. I don't think Tyler would have taken me to the game if he had known I was more excited about the Lakers than the Jazz. It was a great night. We were able to ride to the game with Mike, Janille, Kevin, and Kristen. It was so much fun, and I hope we are able to do it again.

Great Grandpa and Grandma Olson

A few weeks ago, we headed up to Spanish Fork. Tylers grandparents asked us to meet them on our way up for dinner. They have been wanting to take our girls to this resturant that was full of trains. It was so much fun. There wasn't just a small train that went around the resturant. They were amazing. My girls were loving it. Here are a few pictures of our fun night with grandma and grandpa. They are such fun grandparents, we wish we were able to see them more often.

Adisons TINKERBELL birthday party!!

I LOVE THIS LITTLE GIRL!!! She turned 3 the end of January and for monthes all she could talk about was a Tinkerbell birthday, so that is what she got. We headed up to Spanish Fork for her birthday. She was so spoiled. She got lots of presents, including a table and chairs from her mommy and daddy. She was so proud that day. She had so much fun playing with everybody.
