Our DADDY

I am so lucky to be married to the man I am married to. When I married him, I ofcourse knew what a great man he was, but I notice it more now that we have kids. He is the best daddy to our little girls. He is so patient with them. He gives up a lot to be with them.
We love him so much.
I am also very lucky to have a great step-dad, who has always been a DAD to me and a wonderful father-in-law. They both do so much for out little family.
My step-mom and 2 sisters spent the weekend with us. It was so much fun. Sunday night we had a bbq, which my husband has pretty much mastered and talked a lot about my dad. He passed away almost 8 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. I miss him so much. Stories were shared and tears were shed at that dinner table. We will always remember what a great father he was. I can not wait for the day that I am with him again.

Bink Bonk, I've missed you.

We FINALLY got rid of the "bink Bonk",(aka.pacifier) last fall. I had to keep a few, just for memory sake. When you said ADI, you instanly thought Bink Bonk.
The other afternoon, my sweet Adi Anne was being awfully quiet, so I headed upstairs to find her fast asleep on my bed. That stinker found a BINK BONK. She did not hesitate to put it in her mouth and fall asleep on my bed. I quickly removed it from her mouth after taking a picture ofcourse.
When she woke up I asked her about it. With a big smile on her face she said, "I found my bink bonk mommy, I missed it."

Team Olson

My girls make me proud EVERYDAY. I just love them so much. Today my 5 year old reminded of something very important, Our little family is a TEAM no matter what. We stick together.
Today, Adison was teasing Avery by pinching and flicking her. Anybody surprised? Anyways, in a very serious voice, Avery said, "Adison, you have to be nice to me, I love you. We are sisters and have to be a team." I melted and I may have teared up a little. That was the sweetest kindest thing I have ever heard her say, and she says some pretty sweet things. I love them so much.

My poor broken baby

Last week the girls and I spent the week up in Spanish Fork. I am surprised that Adison still agrees to go. She is very accident prone while there. On Monday, Kristen and I were in the house and the kids were outside playing. All was fine until we heard a very scary scream. Adison came running in screaming and could not even talk while showing me here hand. It looked scraped really bad and Avery finally came in to tell me that she had turned the treadmill on while Adison hand was under it. Avery felt very bad. It burned the top of her hand and the inside of her pinky finger. It was so sad. It was bad enough, that I had to take her into the doctors. They had to give her some medication called Versed. It made her act "drunk". They gave her that so that she would not remember the trauma she had to go through. They had to scrub all of the burned skin off of her hand. She did great.

Then Sunday night she was coming down the steps and fell face first. Her top teeth went through her upper lip and her nose was bruised. We thought we were going to have to take her in again to get a few stitches. Luckily it closed up pretty quickly. She had the biggest fat lip. 3 days later and it is still swollen. As we were assessing the "damage" I had to leave the room. I was crying so hard. I just felt terrible for her. She is doing well now. Just so everyone knows, don't be surprised to see Adison wrapped in bubble wrap next time we head to Spanish Fork.

Counting down the days

Until we see these to beautiful kiddos. We are so excited and can hardly stand it.
