My poor blog!!!!!!!!!!

I have been in a blogging slump. Just busy being a mom of 3 I guess. I really want to start updating it often for my girls to look back on. I have the 3 sweetest little girls and love to show them off and as they are getting older they are doing so many fun things. What a better place than this blog to document all of it. I do write in their journals several times a week, but they won't care to read those until they are older. (My hot husband may even get mentioned once in a while.) Fingers crossed to staying motivated.

My Sydney Reed

My last blog post was announcing her birth. Time flies. Our little Syder bug is a year old. She is growing like a weed and so much fun. She is loved so much by everyone in our family, especially her very helpful older sisters. She was a huge surprise to our family, but has been a huge blessing to us. She has such a fun sweet personality. She sits at my feet ALL DAY LONG, which I love, but it can be exhausting at the same time.

Here is what Sydney has been up to:

- Growing like a weed. She now weighs 21.4 lbs. and is 28 3/4 in. She's our Chunky Monkey.
- wearing 12 mos. clothes, some 18 mos.
- crawling faster than we can catch her.
- Has mastered the stairs and gets angry when I put the gate up and she knows her sisters are up there.
- Is a HUGE mommys girl.
- Says mom, daddy, Avery, Adi, bye, hi, no no, thank you.
- She has a set of lungs on her.
- Is a binky and blankie baby and I LOVE IT!!!
- She is starting to take a few steps here and there and giggles while doing it.
- She sneaks treats from her sisters whenever possible. Newest fave, popsicles.
- Cutest little dancer ever.
- Her big sister can get her to laugh at anything.
- Her two favorite people are Avery and Adison. She lights up and giggles when they walk in the door from school.

I love this angel girl to pieces. So happy she surprised us by joining our family.

My Adison Anne

Is she gorgeous or what? This is my little sidekick. She is my helper while Avery is at school. She adores her baby sister and wants to be just like her big sister. She too is becoming a little sass and knows her place in the kitchen for timeout. She is still such a tiny peanut, but is getting taller. I love this little girl so much and am going to be sad to have her gone everyday this fall for Kindergarten.
Here is what my Adi Annie has been up to:

- She is a little soccer star. She takes it very seriously and can't wait for game days. She has had 2 games this season and scored 5 goals at one and 7 goals at the other. She is so fun to watch.
- Is in preschool and Dixie State College.
- Her two best friends are Krew and Brennen.
- If it were up to her she would only eat oranges, bananas, cheese and popsicles.
- Her favorite shows are Peppa Pig, Caillou, Olivia, and Dora.
- She is finally going to her church classes with out me.
- Will NOT eat any meal before it has been blessed. She never lets us forget.

Again, much more I am not telling. She is a sweetheart.

My Avery Lynne

This is one beautiful little girl. I love this girl so much. She gives me a run for my money EVERYDAY. She is the most sassy girl ever. She is very smart. She is such a great big sister. Avery is such a help to me and gets complimented in public on how helpful she is. Love her, love her, LOVE HER!!!
Here is what she has been up to:

- 1st grade. (but, advanced for her age. Reading at a 3rd-4th grade level. I'm a proud momma.)
- Playing soccer and LOVING it.
- 100% on every spelling test except for 2 this school year.
- Loves watching The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. (she often says, "That dress isn't modest is it mom.)
- Loves baking with mom.
- Loves to shop. I avoid the shoe section at every store.

So much more to tell. She is such a sweetie and has such a tender little heart.

On March 9th at 6:42 a.m. our much anticipated sister finally arrived. She is absolutely perfect and is already such a blessing to our family. She is gorgeous and her big sisters can't get enough of her. She is held 24/7. All the worry that came along with finding out I was pregnant with this unplanned little girl went right out the window when I saw her. I was instantly in LOVE. She has been the perfect little girl. We all adore her.

SURPRISE!!!

We are so excited to be adding another perfect and healthy little girl to our family. The girls could not be more excited and throw ideas out for names daily. Right now, if the girls get what they want, her name will be Natalie, Katelyn, or Ashley. I hope they are not heartbroken when we go a different direction with the name.

It's official

We have seen/heard the heartbeat of a VERY UNPLANNED baby #3. We feel very blessed to be given the chance to be parents to another perfect little spirit. The girls are so so excited and love to "PET" my stomach and give ideas for baby names.

Looking at the positive

"We don't have to be fast... we simply have to be steady and move in the right direction. We have to do the best we can, one step after another. The only thing you need to worry about is striving to be the best you can be. and how do you do that? You keep your eye on the goals that matter most in life, and you move towards them step by step. That is easy enough. We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is be the very best we can."
-Joseph B. Wirthin

I came acrossed this and loved it. It is such a good reminder. Tyler and I have faced a lot of trials in our life. Luckly we have always gotten through them. Not always with the best attitude, but they have gotten us to the place we are in our lives now. Moving to St. George has been the hardest move but the BEST move for our family. Tyler going back to school has been difficult on us, but we know in a few years when he is finished all of the sacrifices we have made will all be worth it.
Everynight I lay in bed and try and fall asleep. BUT, that is when I start thinking. Thinking about the bills that are due, about how mean I was to the girls during the day, and all of the things I wish I could do better for my family and I.
After reading that quote, I quickly reminded myself how extremely blessed I am. I have the best husband, who works hard for us, the two most beautiful daughters who share an abundance of hugs and kisses with me daily, and I have a roof over my head. Among so many other things. I am so lucky. I will refer back to this quote often to remind myself to look at the positive.

Our DADDY

I am so lucky to be married to the man I am married to. When I married him, I ofcourse knew what a great man he was, but I notice it more now that we have kids. He is the best daddy to our little girls. He is so patient with them. He gives up a lot to be with them.
We love him so much.
I am also very lucky to have a great step-dad, who has always been a DAD to me and a wonderful father-in-law. They both do so much for out little family.
My step-mom and 2 sisters spent the weekend with us. It was so much fun. Sunday night we had a bbq, which my husband has pretty much mastered and talked a lot about my dad. He passed away almost 8 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. I miss him so much. Stories were shared and tears were shed at that dinner table. We will always remember what a great father he was. I can not wait for the day that I am with him again.

Bink Bonk, I've missed you.

We FINALLY got rid of the "bink Bonk",(aka.pacifier) last fall. I had to keep a few, just for memory sake. When you said ADI, you instanly thought Bink Bonk.
The other afternoon, my sweet Adi Anne was being awfully quiet, so I headed upstairs to find her fast asleep on my bed. That stinker found a BINK BONK. She did not hesitate to put it in her mouth and fall asleep on my bed. I quickly removed it from her mouth after taking a picture ofcourse.
When she woke up I asked her about it. With a big smile on her face she said, "I found my bink bonk mommy, I missed it."

Team Olson

My girls make me proud EVERYDAY. I just love them so much. Today my 5 year old reminded of something very important, Our little family is a TEAM no matter what. We stick together.
Today, Adison was teasing Avery by pinching and flicking her. Anybody surprised? Anyways, in a very serious voice, Avery said, "Adison, you have to be nice to me, I love you. We are sisters and have to be a team." I melted and I may have teared up a little. That was the sweetest kindest thing I have ever heard her say, and she says some pretty sweet things. I love them so much.

My poor broken baby

Last week the girls and I spent the week up in Spanish Fork. I am surprised that Adison still agrees to go. She is very accident prone while there. On Monday, Kristen and I were in the house and the kids were outside playing. All was fine until we heard a very scary scream. Adison came running in screaming and could not even talk while showing me here hand. It looked scraped really bad and Avery finally came in to tell me that she had turned the treadmill on while Adison hand was under it. Avery felt very bad. It burned the top of her hand and the inside of her pinky finger. It was so sad. It was bad enough, that I had to take her into the doctors. They had to give her some medication called Versed. It made her act "drunk". They gave her that so that she would not remember the trauma she had to go through. They had to scrub all of the burned skin off of her hand. She did great.

Then Sunday night she was coming down the steps and fell face first. Her top teeth went through her upper lip and her nose was bruised. We thought we were going to have to take her in again to get a few stitches. Luckily it closed up pretty quickly. She had the biggest fat lip. 3 days later and it is still swollen. As we were assessing the "damage" I had to leave the room. I was crying so hard. I just felt terrible for her. She is doing well now. Just so everyone knows, don't be surprised to see Adison wrapped in bubble wrap next time we head to Spanish Fork.

Counting down the days

Until we see these to beautiful kiddos. We are so excited and can hardly stand it.

My HOPES and DREAMS (for today anyways)

I know this is asking a lot for a stay at home mom of 2 little active girls, but here is my list.

- To use the bathroom without someone knocking on the door within 2 seconds of the door closing, or whipping open the door for that matter.

- Take a shower with the door closed.

- Take a shower that last longer than 5 min.

- Have the whole house cleaned at the sametime. Not just ONE room.

- The girls to make their beds WITHOUT being asked.

- I would love to NOT hear the words "I AM HUNGRY", "SHE HIT ME", "SHE LOOKED AT ME" or "SHE IS IN MY ROOM." (The list could go on and on.)

- I would really enjoy it if 20 neighbor kids were not in my house all at the same time.

- For them to listen the first time they are asked.

- For them just to put on the clothes I have layed out for them.

My days are usually great with my girls. So far today would be the exception. It could be because I am on night 2 of ZERO sleep. I am exhausted. I really do have 2 great little girls. I love being their mom and feel so so lucky to beable to be home with them everyday. My reason for this post you ask? Today I was woken up by Adison yelling "MOMMY, MOMMY, MOMMY, wipe my bum NOW!!!!" I should feel lucky that she is potty trained and woke herself up to use the bathroom, RIGHT!!! I hope everyone has a great day, and please tell me I am not the only one who has ever had a day like this!!!

So Lucky!!!

I am so lucky to be a mom to these two wonderful, beautiful, funny, perfect little girls. Several times a day I will whisper to them,"I LOVE YOU THE MOST." I hope they always remember that. I love them each so much for who they are.

Splash Pad

We made our first of many trips to the splash pad this week. We went with Janille, Madi, and Maleea. We had a fun picnic and played in the water on a hot day. It was lots of fun. We LOVE spending time with our cousins.

So Proud

Tyler has always wanted to be a part of a sports radio show. He has been studying away in school and recently started a internship for a local ESPN radio show. HE LOVES IT, and we LOVE listening to him. The girls were so proud of their daddy, they even came in the house to listen to him. I was in the kitchen making dinner and walked in to find the girls on their tummy listening to their daddy. They had the biggest smiles on their faces. They even got to hear their uncle Mike, which was pretty cool to them too.
Great job honey, we love you so much.

Poor DEPRIVED kiddos!!

I CAN"T STAND THE ICECREAM TRUCK/MAN, and I am sure you will all hear me say that for the rest of the summer. He comes around WAY TOO OFTEN!!! As soon as my girls hear it coming they run for the door. If we hear it first, the windows are quickly closed and the TV is turned up in hopes that they don't hear it. We have even gone as far as calling my brother and sister in-law who live across the street to warn them that the truck is in the area and vice vera. My girls have to earn icecream money throughout the week, which equals to be about 1 visit to the icecream truck a week. They still whine and scream for icecream each and everytime they hear it, but I am a MEAN MOM and say ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
Well, the below picture is for grandma Olson. Here are 3 of her grandaughters, Avery, Adison and Maleea feeling VERY deprived, sitting on the curb watching all of the other kids getting their DAILY fix of icecream.
(the reason I say this is for grandma Olson, is because she called to yell at me for my last post. So updating I will do.)
