We LOVE fall!!!

I am sure it is not a surprise to everyone that Fall is by far my favorite season. It has really been hard to enjoy fall so far since the average temp is still 100 degrees where we live. (No one get excited, we like St. George.) We headed to Spanish Fork over the weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful fall leaves. I think my girls are just too cute!!!! Avery loved the Acorns and the sunflowers. Adi hated the bugs!! We had a fun weekend visiting family, even if BYU lost!!

Do we have a VEGETARIAN on our hands???

Today the girls were eating breakfast. Sausage was part of it. Avery said "Mommy, where does sausage come from?" I told her that all meat came from animals and sausage came from a PIG!!!! I THOUGHT the conversation was over. Out of no where, Avery said, " So right now I am eating the inside of a pig, I think I am going to be sick!!!" It was so funny!!

(I think she will get over it though. She loves sausage too much and I don't think McDonalds makes vegetarian Happy Meals.)

Someone got a haircut!!!!

Today, Adi got her first "REAL" haircut. I say "REAL", because it was not done by me, it was done by someone who actually knew what they were doing!!! The first picture is the before shot, which looks very cute, but she is losing her curls and the back was getting kind of straggely!! (Is that how it is spelled?) Anyways, we chopped the baby hair off, and I am so glad we did. This hair cut is made for Adi Anne. It is so cute on her. She was not excited to be at the salon though. She was so excited to go, but as soon as we got there, she freaked out. I ended up holding her while they cut it. I even bribed her with a happy meal and a stylist there gave her a donut and neither of those worked. Oh well, it is done and looks so so cute!!!

Averys First day of Preschool!!!

Avery has been waiting for this day all summer long. Her first day of preschool. Actually, it was supposed to be on Monday, but the darn stomach bug got her on Sunday afternoon, so we had to keep her home on Monday.
Her school is so cute. It is on the Dixie State campus, so she goes to the same school as her daddy, which she thinks is SOOO COOL!!! Her teacher is Mrs. Provost. Her favorite activity is the moon sand and my favorite part is the observation room that I can watch and hear her, but she doesn't know I am there.
More pictures to come on October 5th, when she gets to be the CAPTAIN for the day!! We are so excited for the school year!!!

Tough Week

Where does the time go? My dad passed away 7 years ago today. I don't know if it gets any easier. I miss him so much. Some days it feels like he just passed away yesterday. I think about him everyday and what my kids are missing out on by not having him here. If that didn't make this day hard enough, my grandpa Mohr passed away last night. He was my step-grandpa, but I never thought of him like that. He was my grandpa and I will miss him very much. My grandma and grandpa Mohr usually visited once a year and they would drive their HUGE motor home to get here. (My sister Heather and cousins Jess and Al and I used to love that motor home when we were younger, that was our hide-out away from the adults.) Avery and Adi would get so excited to see the motor home, knowing they were here.
Last night Avery saw me crying and asked why I was sad. I explained that Grandpa Mohr had died and she started to cry and said "Will grandma Mohr be OK driving the motor home by herself?" She is so sweet.
We will miss our grandpa Mohr lots and I miss my dad so much, but are gratefull to know we will see them again and that they are together.
These are the times that I wish I still lived in Michigan. It is so hard for me to be so far from family at times like this.

The Great Debate, (in our house anyways)

We stopped at a gas station today, and Tyler bought Sixlets. You know, the candy that is kind of like M&M's? Well, I made the mistake of saying M&M's are so much better. I could not even eat 5 Sixlets, they did not taste good at all. Well, we debated the whole way home on which candy was better. My sister Heathers comment when I asked her what she thought was "First of all, what the heck are sixlets?" My sister-in-law Kristen agreed M&M's are better too. (you know you do Kristen). Well, the dabate went on into the night. So what do you all think, M&M's or Sixlets?
(I know you are thinking that our home is pretty boring, if we debate over candies. It was pretty comical all night though as people agreed with me and not Tyler.)
