Today my heart stopped, ALMOST!!!!

If anyone is wondering what a shopping cart mark looks like on a face or a leg, just let me know and I will send you pictures of my girls.

LESSON LEARNED: A 5 year old and a 2 year old do not belong in a cart together, even if it makes shopping easier for me.

Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday,we went to the Pumpkin Patch/corn Maize. I was so excited to find one in St. George. We had a lot of fun. We took the EASY maize, and somehow, ended up at the beginning. Not so easy if you ask me. The girls had fun though. They loved picking up the corn, and hiding in the corn and scaring us as we walked by. We took a hayride to the pumpkin patch. It was the smallest pumpkin patch I have ever seen, but they found some fun pumpkins that look so cute on our porch. The only downfall of the whole evening was there lack of fun treats. What pumpkin patch doesn't sell warm cider donuts? Guess who is stopping at the Red Barn next time we head up to Utah county? If you guessed me, you are correct. It was a fun night for the girls, made even more fun by having my mom there with us.

Tys Birthday!!!

Tyler turned the BIG 29 last week. We had a good day. The girls were so excited to celebrate with him, and ofcourse open his presents for him. We went to dinner that night to Players with our family, my mom, and his brother Mike and his family. Then we had cake and icecream at our house afterwards. It was a lot of fun. It was a very busy day. Avery is proof. She fell asleep on the hallway floor. We love you Tyler. We hope your day was great.

Happy Birthday Avery!!!!

Avery turned 5 on Sunday. It is so amazing to me how fast time really goes. We had a really fun weekend. My mom is here from Michigan and my step-mom and two sisters came to visit. We had a family party on Sunday with my mom, step-mom, two sisters and Mike and Janilles family. It was a lot of fun. Then on Monday she was captain in her class. She got to take snack and help her teacher with everything. Her favorite was feeding the fish. Then on monday afternoon she had a birthday party with cousins and friends. We had a lot of fun. She was a spoiled spoiled girl.

A few facts about our birthday girl:
-LOVES LOVES make-up.
-Loves dressing up in pretty dresses.
-Her favorite food is Ramen noodles.
-Her favorite cartoon in Phineus and Ferb.
-She loves her daddy.
-She is very protective of her sister.
-She is very sassy and head strong.
-She is very very smart. She can count to 100, can count to 10 in Spanish, can spell mom, dad, Avery, Lynne, Olson, Adison, cat, dog. Can also write all of those and can read them when she sees them. Can add numbers 1-10 together.

We love Avery so much and are so proud of the little girl that she is. We are so lucky to have her.

Happy Birthday Baby girl.

Dreams!!!!

I have debated quite a bit with myself over posting this. I have decided to post this because I am hoping in the near future to have this blog published into a book.

My dad passed away 7 years ago. I don't dwell on it daily, but I cry quite often. I miss him so much. A lot of days it doesn't seem real and then I remember and it is like a slap in the face. '
I was always very close to my dad. We butted heads and argued a lot. My defense was slamming my bedroom door while he yelled at me and in return he would take my door off the hinges. Funny now, but it was not so funny when I was a teenager. You wouldn't know it by our arguments, but my dad and I were very close.
When he was REALLY sick, I lived in Utah. People would call me and say you need to come home. Your dad is not doing good. But my dad would always say, no I don't want you to come home. I am a fine. Do not disrupt your life right now. That summer I spent many many hours on the phone with my dad, step-mom, mom and step-dad, crying and debating what I should do. Everyone said "come home", except for my dad and I listened to him. That is the only time I regret listening to him. I didn't go home until he was so sick, that he could not recognize me in the hospital. That was the toughest 4 days of my life. Watching him so sick. I never thought it would be a relief to see him pass away, but it was. He was no longer suffering. I struggle with the fact that I didn't go home sooner to be with him. There was a few times in the hospital that I will never forget. We had a few great conversations when he was alert enough to know who I was.
A few days after he passed away, I had a dream. In my dream I was walking down the hall to his exact room of the hospital. It was all so famililer. When I got to his room he looked wonderful. As healthy as could be. He had the biggest smile and said to me "Everything will be fine, YOU will be fine." and that is where the dream ended. Weather people believe it or not, I KNOW that was my dad talking directly to me that night. I have not had another dream about him since, and that has been really upsetting to me. Until tuesday night, Sept.29. I had another dream. I remember crying through the whole dream. When I woke up that morning my eyes were pretty much glued shut. In this dream we were at Averys birthday party, (which happens to be Sunday). He was laying in a hammock and he was crying. He said I will always regret not spending more time with my kids. That is all he said. I drove away from that party crying that I had never said goodbye to my dad. My dad then appeared in the dream again and said "You said goodbye to me. I remember. You don't have to worry. Your were with me" and I then drove away. That was the end of that dream.
My mom is in town right now and I told her about these dreams and we both just cried. I have always regreted not going home that summer. That is something I dwell on alot and can not change. I like to think that this is my dads way of telling me to stop worrying about this, not to dwell on that. I know my dad wants me to be happy and that he is watching over my family and I. We are pretty lucky for that, and even luckier to have the knowledge knowing that I will be with him again someday. He was such a wonderful wonderful dad.

1/2 time dance routine!!!!

When I picked Avery up from school on Wednesday, they were handing out registration forms for a dance clinic on Saturday,WITH THE DIXIE STATE DRILL TEAM!!! Avery loves dancers so I grabbed one. I was a dance clinic that would teach them a dance to preform at the Dixie State Football game on Saturday night. Avery LOVES LOVES to dance, so she was all over the idea. I quickly signed her up, and the first thing she said was can Madi and Maleea do it with me. So we called and they were just as excited.

I was so proud of Avery. The day just dragged on for her. She was ready for the football game. So you can imagine her disappointment when I said it will be time to go after dinner. She was thinking something quick, and the mean mom that I was at the time, started making homemade pizza for dinner. "MOM THAT WILL TAKE FOREVER"!!

Well, the time came and her hair and make-up was done. They came onto the field and that stadium went crazy for those little girls. There were only 4 in their group, and Avery, Madi and Maleea made up 3 of the 4.

They danced to "It's a Hard Knock Life" and they did perfect. There was not an ounce of stage fright in any of them. I was so proud, I was half laughing and half crying. They got so many compliments after the game. I definatley have to find a dance class for Avery.

It wouldn't be FALL without....

Decorating cutout cookies. It is drawing near to the end of September, and I have done nothing FALL related. I love FALL and usually have all my decorations out by September 1st. This move to St. George has really put a damper on my love for Fall. It is just too hot out to really allow it to feel like Fall. Avery and Adison love going to the stores just to walk through the Halloween decorations. So I got my butt in gear tonight and we made cut out cookies in the shape of leaves. We also made "Y's" in honor of BYU playing tomorrow. My girls LOVED it and can't wait to finish them tomorrow. That's a lot of work. We had a lot of fun. I had to take a picture of Adi licking the knife. So cute. Unsafe, I know, but it would not be cookie decorating without licking the knife. HAPPY FALL everyone. Tomorrow the decorations come out.
