My Sydney Reed

My last blog post was announcing her birth. Time flies. Our little Syder bug is a year old. She is growing like a weed and so much fun. She is loved so much by everyone in our family, especially her very helpful older sisters. She was a huge surprise to our family, but has been a huge blessing to us. She has such a fun sweet personality. She sits at my feet ALL DAY LONG, which I love, but it can be exhausting at the same time.

Here is what Sydney has been up to:

- Growing like a weed. She now weighs 21.4 lbs. and is 28 3/4 in. She's our Chunky Monkey.
- wearing 12 mos. clothes, some 18 mos.
- crawling faster than we can catch her.
- Has mastered the stairs and gets angry when I put the gate up and she knows her sisters are up there.
- Is a HUGE mommys girl.
- Says mom, daddy, Avery, Adi, bye, hi, no no, thank you.
- She has a set of lungs on her.
- Is a binky and blankie baby and I LOVE IT!!!
- She is starting to take a few steps here and there and giggles while doing it.
- She sneaks treats from her sisters whenever possible. Newest fave, popsicles.
- Cutest little dancer ever.
- Her big sister can get her to laugh at anything.
- Her two favorite people are Avery and Adison. She lights up and giggles when they walk in the door from school.

I love this angel girl to pieces. So happy she surprised us by joining our family.

My Adison Anne

Is she gorgeous or what? This is my little sidekick. She is my helper while Avery is at school. She adores her baby sister and wants to be just like her big sister. She too is becoming a little sass and knows her place in the kitchen for timeout. She is still such a tiny peanut, but is getting taller. I love this little girl so much and am going to be sad to have her gone everyday this fall for Kindergarten.
Here is what my Adi Annie has been up to:

- She is a little soccer star. She takes it very seriously and can't wait for game days. She has had 2 games this season and scored 5 goals at one and 7 goals at the other. She is so fun to watch.
- Is in preschool and Dixie State College.
- Her two best friends are Krew and Brennen.
- If it were up to her she would only eat oranges, bananas, cheese and popsicles.
- Her favorite shows are Peppa Pig, Caillou, Olivia, and Dora.
- She is finally going to her church classes with out me.
- Will NOT eat any meal before it has been blessed. She never lets us forget.

Again, much more I am not telling. She is a sweetheart.

My Avery Lynne

This is one beautiful little girl. I love this girl so much. She gives me a run for my money EVERYDAY. She is the most sassy girl ever. She is very smart. She is such a great big sister. Avery is such a help to me and gets complimented in public on how helpful she is. Love her, love her, LOVE HER!!!
Here is what she has been up to:

- 1st grade. (but, advanced for her age. Reading at a 3rd-4th grade level. I'm a proud momma.)
- Playing soccer and LOVING it.
- 100% on every spelling test except for 2 this school year.
- Loves watching The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. (she often says, "That dress isn't modest is it mom.)
- Loves baking with mom.
- Loves to shop. I avoid the shoe section at every store.

So much more to tell. She is such a sweetie and has such a tender little heart.

6:42 a.m.

On March 9th at 6:42 a.m. our much anticipated sister finally arrived. She is absolutely perfect and is already such a blessing to our family. She is gorgeous and her big sisters can't get enough of her. She is held 24/7. All the worry that came along with finding out I was pregnant with this unplanned little girl went right out the window when I saw her. I was instantly in LOVE. She has been the perfect little girl. We all adore her.

SURPRISE!!!

We are so excited to be adding another perfect and healthy little girl to our family. The girls could not be more excited and throw ideas out for names daily. Right now, if the girls get what they want, her name will be Natalie, Katelyn, or Ashley. I hope they are not heartbroken when we go a different direction with the name.

It's official

We have seen/heard the heartbeat of a VERY UNPLANNED baby #3. We feel very blessed to be given the chance to be parents to another perfect little spirit. The girls are so so excited and love to "PET" my stomach and give ideas for baby names.

Looking at the positive

"We don't have to be fast... we simply have to be steady and move in the right direction. We have to do the best we can, one step after another. The only thing you need to worry about is striving to be the best you can be. and how do you do that? You keep your eye on the goals that matter most in life, and you move towards them step by step. That is easy enough. We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is be the very best we can."
-Joseph B. Wirthin

I came acrossed this and loved it. It is such a good reminder. Tyler and I have faced a lot of trials in our life. Luckly we have always gotten through them. Not always with the best attitude, but they have gotten us to the place we are in our lives now. Moving to St. George has been the hardest move but the BEST move for our family. Tyler going back to school has been difficult on us, but we know in a few years when he is finished all of the sacrifices we have made will all be worth it.
Everynight I lay in bed and try and fall asleep. BUT, that is when I start thinking. Thinking about the bills that are due, about how mean I was to the girls during the day, and all of the things I wish I could do better for my family and I.
After reading that quote, I quickly reminded myself how extremely blessed I am. I have the best husband, who works hard for us, the two most beautiful daughters who share an abundance of hugs and kisses with me daily, and I have a roof over my head. Among so many other things. I am so lucky. I will refer back to this quote often to remind myself to look at the positive.
