Grandma Olsons Birthday!

Last night we had a BBQ for Tylers mom. Here are a few pictures from the fun night.(Kristen, we really missed you, and I hope you tried the potatos your dad made. I HATE potatos too, but these were WONDERFUL.)

Kristen, I can't possibly think where Adi would have gotten the idea to just sit and eat croutons and ranch????

How cute are these two? They really are "Best Buds". Luke has his arm around Adi as they watched Ice Age.

Sharing, it's amazing!!!

Look how big she looks in this picuture.

Adi was so proud of herself for sharing with Luke and he was loving all the bites she was sharing.

No the fire Deptartment was not called. Close call though. Kristen made such a cute cake, it was sunglasses. As you can see from the pictures above, the kids LOVED the frosting.

What a bunch of goofballs. I am kind of worried that Avery may WANT glasses like I did when I was younger.

It sounded like a good idea!!!

A few weeks ago we had this brilliant idea, well my step-mom had a brilliant idea, to drive to Michigan in July. OMMM, I think that idea was thrown right out the window last Friday when we drove 3 hrs to St. George. Good thought though. You are probably wondering how these cute girls in their dress-up dress and her sisters underwear, could possibly give us a hard time in the car. Screaming, fighting over Adis blankets, NO NAPS(so much for leaving at Nap time), things being thrown at my head, and my seat being kicked. The threat of putting them in the very back with no movie didn't even phase them. They are really good girls, just anxious to get to where we were going, they couldn't wait to see there cousins. They were so good over the weekend, so I should not complain. I think I was alittle on edge though because a SEMI tried to run me off the road, literally, the jerk had road rage. Maybe the thought of driving to Michigan will sound great in a few days after this past weekends drive is an after thought.

Sunny St. George

Oh how I love sunny St. George. Last Friday, Ty and I, along with the girls went down to St. George for the basketball game on Friday night. We got there early enough to play outside. Ty and I had to leave by 8 on Saturday morning so he could get to work (short trip for us), but left the girls down there to play with there cousins, and then they rode home with grandma and grandpa. Here are the highlights of the quick trip:
- Warm sunny weather. We played outside for hours in flipflops and no coats. Loved it.
- Tyler was able to see an old mission companion Isaac Alisa. They talked for hours.
- Spending time with family we don't see near enough.
- Avery having a sleepover with her cousins.
- Grandma and Grandpa taking the kids to the park and McDonalds for a picnic. (Grandma found out the hard way what happens when you try to take Adi out of the swing when she is not ready.)
- Avery was in heaven. She loves the weather there. She is not a WINTER girl, she asks us daily if it is spring, and gets excited at every sign of SPRING.
We had so much fun, and will hopefully get down there soon for a longer trip. Miss you all.
- Great Grandpa and Grandma Olson even came with Uncle GEORGE, I mean Uncle Don. (The kids call him different names to tease him.) One of my favorite pictures is of Adi running to her Great Grandpa and his arms are open and waiting for her.
(Please ignore Adis messy face in the pictures. Runnynose + sand = gross face. She is so cute though isn't she.)

Perfect Healthy teeth

My girls had their dentist appts. today. It was Adis first time, and she did great, so did Avery. It was the cutest office, it was set up as a barn yard. Their chairs were in stalls. I loved it. They had these cute little horses, that had real looking teeth, that they got to brush while waiting. No cavaties again. Healthy perfect teeth, just what we like to hear. We do have to get rid of Adis "BINK BONK" though, it is pushing her teeth foward. We already knew that. Anyways, I highly recommend Dr. Bret Sorensen in Spanish Fork.

My Great Grandma

Yesterday my great grandma Ratliff passed away. She was so sweet. I have so many wonderful memories of her. It is always hard to lose someone you love, but deep down, we all know she is much happier now. Until about 2 years ago, she was very self reliant and lived on her own. She then had a stroke, and slowly continued to get sicker. She lived a very good life, and my kids were so lucky to have a great great grandma. That was always the highlight of our Michigan trips for Avery, visiting her great great grandma. When we were in Michigan last summer, she asked Avery what kind of cake she should have for her birthday, and Avery said chocolate. When her birthday came, she was asked what kind of cake she wanted and she said Chocolate. She had remembered that Avery had said that. We will miss her alot and our visits with her while in Michigan will be missed, but Avery said it best last night "Grandma is so happy now because she lives with Jesus, and he loves her a lot, and maybe my grandpa Kaiser will stop and say hi to her."

You don't realize!!

You don't realize how much you depend you your purse.

Until it's stolen and your whole life is pretty much in it. Phone, creditcards, cash, debitcard, checks, social security card, ect. Lucky for me, a few hours after it was taken and hours of me balling, Walmart called me and said they had found it in the mens bathroom garbage can. They only got away with some cash. We still cancelled all of our cards incase they wrote down numbers. Some people have a lot of nerve.
