DISNEYLAND!

Last weekend we were lucky to enjoy a "spur of the moment" trip to DisneyLand with Tylers Parents, his brother Mike and his wife and 2 girls and ofcourse our family. We had so much fun. We had some pretty tired girls by the end of the night. Avery was the only one that did not nap throughout the whole day. Averys favorite ride was the Finding Nemo ride. Some other favorite attrations included: Meeting the Princesses(Aurora, Cinderella, Minnie, Jasmine). They also were able to have story time with Aladdin and Jasmine, ride the teacups, meeting Eeyore, Tigger, and Pooh, going to the Disney Channel show that included Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse clubhouse, Handy Manny, and Poohs corner. The Pixar parade was alot of fun also. Avery did not enjoy Splash Mountain, and was in tears from it which made me cry. I felt like a terrible mom. The Dumbo ride and Fireworks were on her least favorite list. It was a great trip. Thank you so much Mike and Janille for inviting us. We had so much fun.

Oh Avery!!

I just love Avery so much. Even when she is hurt she makes me laugh. Then I feel bad for laughing when she is hurt. Anyways, my sister-in-law Kristen and I were sitting her when Avery hurt her KNEE on the piano. Apparently it was my fault because she yelled, "Owe mom, you just hurt my PATELLA." Kristen and I were laughing so hard, I could barely console poor little hurt Avery.

Just to throw this in here, because I am so excited, We are headed to California this weekend to go to Disney Land. I am so so so excited. I am like a little kid excited. I have never been.

Averys Boyfriend tied the Knot!!

Last week we were able to attend the wedding of one of Tylers bestfriends, Troy to Lisa. This is also Averys BOYFRIEND. Avery has told everybody that Troy is her boyfriend and always asks questions about his wife. The night before he got married, Avery heard Tyler talking to Troy on the phone and jumped out of bed just to say, "Good Luck tomarrow Troy". At the wedding the next night Avery had to keep going to see Troy to make sure he was still married. We are so happy for him. Troy is the one who introduced me to Tyler. I was also able to spend some time with my best friend Tami at the wedding also. We have some crazy stories about Troy.

Mommy Tag!!!

This is a fun tag that I got from an old High School friend.

1. Typically, what time do you wake up? Between 7 -7:30 a.m. Avery gets up at this time weather she goes to sleep at 8 p.m. or midnight.

2. On a good night, what time are your kids in bed? Between 8:30 and 9.

3. How long have you been a mommy? 3 1/2 yrs. Avery was born on 10-4-04.

4. How old were you when you became a mommy? 25

5. What is your favorite kids t.v. show? Where do I begin. Anything on the Disney Channel. Avery loves Charlie and Lola, Ruby and Max, The Brady Bunch (I love it), Maya and Miguel, Caillou, and Curious George. Wow, how could I forget Dora. I can sit and watch all of these shows.

6. What is your least favorite kids t.v. show? Sponge Bob Square Pants. It is not allowed in our house and Avery is quick to tell me when it comes on. Hannah Montana. Avery love it. It is not bad, but just a little too old for her. This is where she learned the phrase and uses on a daily basis, "Jackson you're and IDIOT.". (Jackson is Hannah Montanas brother on the show).

7. What is your favorite chore? Really, does anybody have a favorite CHORE??? I guess bathtime.

8. What is your favorite meal to cook? This is a hard one, Tyler and Avery are pretty picky eaters, and Adison will eat almost anything, and if she does not want it, she will let you know by throwing it on the floor. I like to make chicken alfredo with steamed broccoli. Everyone loves it. If Tyler is working late, the girls love Mac and Cheese, or Mini Pizzas. We just buy the regular bisquick rolls and flatten them and put pizza sauce and cheese on them.

9. What meal do you cook most often? One of our favorite dinners is BREAKFAST. We also like Tacos. Tyler is awesome on the BBQ.

10. What is your kids favorite meals? Is it just me or is this question repetitive? My kids like Mac and Cheese, Spaghetti, Ramen noodles (not that heathly, so they don't get it very often), Chicken Nuggets, and Grilled cheese.

11. What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids? I love that the first thing he does when he comes home from work late is go right to the kids rooms to kiss them good night. He teaches them sports, Avery will sit and watch any sport with her dad, especially BYU football. When Avery is taking a bath, Tyler will sometimes wash her hair if I am busy, but he puts his feet right in and plays with her. He is an AWESOME dad.

12.What are 5 things that make you smile when you're being a mom?
1. When they tell me they love me just because.
2. The hugs and kisses.
3 Watching them play together and laugh with each other.
4. Watching Avery in her gymnastics class. She makes me so proud.
5. All the funny things they say and do, which is daily. Especially when Avery says out of nowhere, "Come find me mom, count to 10 first".
Everything they do makes me smile. I absolutely love my kids.

13. If you could take you kids anywhere, where would it be? I would love to take them to Disney Land. Avery asks all the time. Ofcoures, to Michigan to visit there grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. To the beach to just play in the ocean.

14. When is the last time you went out without your kids? Last night, Tyler and I went to a movie. I am always in a hurry to get home to them though, no matter who is watching them. I love to be with my kids.

15. What is your favorite past time/ activity to do with your kids? Avery and I love to go shopping together. We are at the park alot when it is warm. We go on ALOT of walks, and now we like bike rides.

16. Name one thing you said you would never do as a mom? Work, but I have to work, atleast it is only 2 days a week, and I am able to leave them with family. Also, lick my finger and wipe there faces off.

17. Name one thing you do, that your mom did? Holidays in our house were always full of traditions, just little things that always made them special. Now I am trying to implement some of those fun traditions, along with making up new ones.

18. What is your favorite quality your mom has? Well I have to answer for my mom and step-mom, since they are both such a huge part of my life. I guess just always being there for me If I ever need anything. Being great grandmothers to my kids. I love my moms ALOT, and admire both of them. I am proud to say they are my bestfriends.

19. What is your favorite kids book? I don't know if I have a favorite. I love kids books and we have a TON of them. I am not exagerating by saying "a TON". I guess anything that my girls bring to me. We read a lot. I like books that rhyme. It helps Avery learn the words better.

20. What is your advice for new moms? Don't do too much. You will tire yourself out. Focus on your children, the house work can wait. It is easier said than done. Time really does fly by. I did not believe it until I had my own kids. Especially since I just signed Avery up for preschool. Make time for date nights with your husband. Just the two of you. Even if it is a special dinner and a movie after the kids are in bed.

21. What is the scariest/ most heartbreaking moment you have had as a mom? When Avery had to have 9 stitches on the back of her head at only 9 months old. Adison breaking her leg this past Sunday at only 14 months. When they are sick and just cry for your help. Now that Avery is getting older and playing with other children, it just breaks my heart to see her get her feelings hurt. I hate that Avery and Adi are not growing up with there Michigan family. Avery misses them so much and asks when we are Flying to Michigan to visit grandma and grandpa. Now she just wants to go visit baby Grace. When they cry for me when I am not there.

22. What is your most joyful moment as a mom? Watching them learn new stuff. Just knowing that they are mine. I am so proud of my children. Everything about them makes me happy.

23. When is the last time you were told "I love you" by one of your Kids? Today. We say I Love You alot in our house. My kids are told several time a day. They also hear there mommy and daddy say it to each other, which I think is very important.

My children are the most important things in the world to me, as is my husband. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for them. Being a mommy is the best job I have ever had. I love to show off my kids. I am so proud of them.

I tag Heather, Janille, Kristen, and Tirzah

SPRING maybe, and our first broken bone!!!

Monday was a beautiful day, and if you look close you will see that Avery took full advantage of the sunny 80 degree weather. She is filthy in these pictures. Grandma and Grandpa called Avery and Adison up to jump on the bouncy, and you will notice that Adison did not like it at all.
I am sure the first thing you noticed in these pictures was Adisons leg. As the Dr. said, he would bet money on it that it is broken. It did not show up in the X-ray, but these fractures usually don't, but by the way she was acting when we touched it was pretty much a given that it is broken. It is in a splint for a week and Monday we will go back and if it is still tender to the touch, then she will have a hard cast put on. This poor baby has been through so much the past couple of monthes. I feel so bad for her. She is crawling around on it very well today, she just can't walk or run (which she has pretty much mastered running now, AHHH!!). Well, this is how it happened. Sunday we were at my step-moms house for some yummy strawberry shortcake. Afterwards we walked to the park, and my cute little 9 yr old sister Cassidy, whom my girls love, took Adi down the slide and her foot got stuck between Cassidys leg and the slide. Adi was crying pretty hard and would not stand on it. We gave it over night, and the next day it just got worse. She screamed everytime she had to put any pressure on it at all or if anybody touched it. So here are the cute pictures of her in her HUGE cast. Oh and by the way, wasn't April fools 2 wks ago? It was in the 80's yesterday and today as I look out the window it is extremely windy and snowing, yes snowing.

"Squirt Milk"

So I think I have the funniest 3 yr old ever. She makes us laugh daily. I went home for lunch today and she brought me the can of Redi Whip from the fridge like she does on a daily basis. She always wants a taste, and the answer is usually no. Yes, I am a mean mom for not giving her a taste, and she lets me know it. Well, today I had to give her a taste, only because she came in and said, "Mom, can I have a taste of SQUIRT MILK", meaning the Redi Whip. So cute.

Also, we have signed her up for preschool this fall and she has informed us that she will only go if she has a teacher named Cindy!!! Sorry Ave, is Karen OK?

Engin, Are you KIDDING ME!!!!!!

This post is dedicated to my little brother Engin who is 13, and enjoying himself in sunny, warm, Flordia, with my mom, step-dad, and brother Jengiz. Let me just throw in there that the house is on the beach and has a pool. So, weather or not Engin reads this blog, I am writing to yell at him through this post. Yesterday when I called him he was watching "Jerry Springer" of all shows, not by the pool. The next time I called, everyone was at the pool, and Engin was in the house watching a movie. The reason I am upset by this is because I, along with my sister Heather, are so jealous that they are in warm, sunny Flordia, while we sit at work. Does he not know how lucky he is?
No, Engin, I am not really mad at you. How could I be mad at my cute Engin, you are just CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! Have fun in Flordia, and call to let me know what fun things you did. If it did involve wathing movies the whole time, just lie to me and tell me that the beach was AWESOME!! You better be having fun to Jengiz. Love you guys.

THANK YOU KANSAS!!!!!!!!

This blog is dedicated to Kansas, who did a great job last night by coming back and pulling out the win against Memphis. Why is this post titled "THANK YOU KANSAS", do you ask? No, it is not because I picked them to win, it is because they made my husband the happiest man on the planet. I knew I would not go far with my backet when I decided to stay loyal and pick Michigan State to pretty much go all the way. Anyways, Not only did I get my usual phone calls from him last night (he had to work), I got screaming, excited calls, which consisted of "did you see that play?" "Kansas is amazing, they are going to win in over time", the final call consisted of "Is the game still recording, make sure it keeps recording, I have to hear the song at the end." I did not get a word in edgewise, the whole time. I just had to laugh and go back to watching "The Hills", no I did not watch the big game, I usually do though. So honey, I am so happy that your team won.
The funniest part of the night, and I am sure Janille can relate, happened about 12:30 A.M. Tyler came home to watch all of the recored post game interviews, and said "hurry up, give me a phone, I have to call Mike." It did not end with just one phone call in the middle of the night, it was followed by a few texts. I don't know what time he came to bed, I just know he came home a happy camper from work. Thanks Kansas.
