Trying to be a BIG girl!!!

It was so sad last night. Adison tries to be such a big girl like her sister. She was going down the front steps last night, and fell face first from the top step, hitting every step with her face. She usually turns around or scoots down on her little bum, but last night she was holding onto the railing to go down with her feet. I even teared up for her. I know it is hard to see (Cell phone picture), but her little eye is swollen and bruised too. Maybe she is just trying to keep up with her cousin Luke who has had some pretty good owies on his head. Luke and Adi really do follow in each others footsteps. It was so sad to see her crying and holding her face saying Owie over and over. Poor baby.

Look at that mustache

Avery loves to watch our wedding video. There are alot of pictures of my dad on there. At one time he had a mustache. She is looking at his pictures on the video and talking about his mustache and out of nowhere, she said "When grandpa Kaiser died he gave his mustache to grandpa Olson." That is all she said. It was the sweetest thing. She pays so much attention to little details. I love her so much and it means so much to me that she is getting to know my dad through lots of pictures.

Movie Night!!

So we have made it a tradition every Friday night to watch a movie as a family. Well, I don't know if you can call it a tradition if we have only been doing it for a few weeks. Anyways, it is turning into one and we love it. The girls pick out a movie or we go rent one, and we all go to the store together to pick out the treat. We get the bean bag, pillows, and blankets out for the girls, turn off the lights and watch it together. The first week was Ratatouille (spelling?) and popcorn. You should have seen my living room floor. Popcorn everywhere. I just bit my lip, because my girls were having so much fun. This is the first time Adison has sat and watched an entire movie. It is so sweet to watch Avery laugh and a few seconds later see Adi laugh just because her big sister did. I love my little family so much and I am starting to really enjoy just staying home with them, just the 4 of us. I hope these are the things my kids remember.

P.S. Adisons binky is really annoying me these days and I just want to get rid of it. I guess you could say I am trying. This picture is so cute, except for the BINKY. It was either a cute smiling picture with a binky or a cute picture of Avery with Adison screaming because I took her binky away. I pick my battles these days.

My Great Grandma

This is my cute Great Grandma Ratliff. She just had her birthday. My kids are so lucky to have a great great grandma still. It is so hard for me to be so far away from my family. I wish my kids were able to see their grandparents, great-grandparents, and great great grandma in Michigan more ofter. When we go to visit her, she is so excited. She loves to see the kids.
When I was little I remember going to visit her house. I loved her house. She would always take me to get icecream. I have so many wonderful memories of her. We love you grandma.

Kite Fest

Last weekend, my mother-in-law and I took the girls to the kite fest up at the Resivoir. It was a much bigger event than we thought it was going to be. We had to park, which seemed miles away, but it was so fun. They had jet-skis on the resivoir pulling these huge kites. The girls loved it. I let them put their toes in the water and the jet-ski would go by and send a huge wave on the kids. It felt good on such a hot day. On the other end they had 4-wheelers pulling kites. It was alot of fun. Avery even got to make her own kite. The highlight for me and maybe for my mother-in-law was the ride we got in the golf cart, which took us back to our car. It was a really fun time.

Averys first day of Preschool!!!

Finally, the day had arrived. Avery started preschool. We, or should I say she, has been counting down all summer. Almost to the point of driving us crazy. She knew that as soon as gymnastics was over, she would start preschool. Too bad gymnastics ended 3 wks before school started. Anyways, she would wake up and ask us "How many more sleeps until school, and walk around with her Tinkerbell backpack on." So cute. She did such a good job on her first day. Her teachers names are Miss Karen and Miss Amy. She is looking forward to her many field trips, Thanksgiving point, Two Jacks Pizza, and the pumpkin patch, just to name a few. I think she is most excited to finger paint with chocolate pudding and to get her book orders monthly. It is so fun for her to come home and look through the book orders and pick out the books she wants to order that month. As if we need more books in our house. Oh, and how could I forget the pet bunny named Bandit in ther class. We are so excited for her and can't believe how big she is getting. Yes, I got a little emotional, but she did great. And can you believe they start homework in preschool now? Great Job Avery.

P.S. I think the most exciting part of it for me is the fact that Adi naps the 3 hrs that Avery is in school. A quiet house, I forgot that existed.

Happy Birthday MOM!!!

Yesterday was my moms birthday. I just wanted to wish her Happy Birthday. She used to tell everyone she was 28 and I am happy to say she now tells everyone she is 38. She can't be younger than her own children right. I just wanted to let her know how much I LOVE HER and MISS her. I hate living so far away. I also want to let her know I doesn't matter how old you are, you are only as old as you let yourself feel. Avery was so proud to tell everyone today that it was her Grandma Olgacs Birthday. We love and miss you mom, hope you had a great Birthday.

Sweet Gracie Anne!!!

This is my cute niece Grace. Unfortunatly, she lives in Michigan and I don't get to see her a lot. I miss her so much. When I posted pictures of my Michigan trip, I did not have any of her at the time, so here she is. She is almost 9 months. She is such a pretty little girl. I got pretty attached to her when we were visiting Michigan. When I am talking to my sister on the phone, Avery and Adison love to be put on speaker phone to talk to Gracie and to hear her laugh. We love and miss her so much.
