1/2 time dance routine!!!!

When I picked Avery up from school on Wednesday, they were handing out registration forms for a dance clinic on Saturday,WITH THE DIXIE STATE DRILL TEAM!!! Avery loves dancers so I grabbed one. I was a dance clinic that would teach them a dance to preform at the Dixie State Football game on Saturday night. Avery LOVES LOVES to dance, so she was all over the idea. I quickly signed her up, and the first thing she said was can Madi and Maleea do it with me. So we called and they were just as excited.

I was so proud of Avery. The day just dragged on for her. She was ready for the football game. So you can imagine her disappointment when I said it will be time to go after dinner. She was thinking something quick, and the mean mom that I was at the time, started making homemade pizza for dinner. "MOM THAT WILL TAKE FOREVER"!!

Well, the time came and her hair and make-up was done. They came onto the field and that stadium went crazy for those little girls. There were only 4 in their group, and Avery, Madi and Maleea made up 3 of the 4.

They danced to "It's a Hard Knock Life" and they did perfect. There was not an ounce of stage fright in any of them. I was so proud, I was half laughing and half crying. They got so many compliments after the game. I definatley have to find a dance class for Avery.

It wouldn't be FALL without....

Decorating cutout cookies. It is drawing near to the end of September, and I have done nothing FALL related. I love FALL and usually have all my decorations out by September 1st. This move to St. George has really put a damper on my love for Fall. It is just too hot out to really allow it to feel like Fall. Avery and Adison love going to the stores just to walk through the Halloween decorations. So I got my butt in gear tonight and we made cut out cookies in the shape of leaves. We also made "Y's" in honor of BYU playing tomorrow. My girls LOVED it and can't wait to finish them tomorrow. That's a lot of work. We had a lot of fun. I had to take a picture of Adi licking the knife. So cute. Unsafe, I know, but it would not be cookie decorating without licking the knife. HAPPY FALL everyone. Tomorrow the decorations come out.

We LOVE fall!!!

I am sure it is not a surprise to everyone that Fall is by far my favorite season. It has really been hard to enjoy fall so far since the average temp is still 100 degrees where we live. (No one get excited, we like St. George.) We headed to Spanish Fork over the weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful fall leaves. I think my girls are just too cute!!!! Avery loved the Acorns and the sunflowers. Adi hated the bugs!! We had a fun weekend visiting family, even if BYU lost!!

Do we have a VEGETARIAN on our hands???

Today the girls were eating breakfast. Sausage was part of it. Avery said "Mommy, where does sausage come from?" I told her that all meat came from animals and sausage came from a PIG!!!! I THOUGHT the conversation was over. Out of no where, Avery said, " So right now I am eating the inside of a pig, I think I am going to be sick!!!" It was so funny!!

(I think she will get over it though. She loves sausage too much and I don't think McDonalds makes vegetarian Happy Meals.)

Someone got a haircut!!!!

Today, Adi got her first "REAL" haircut. I say "REAL", because it was not done by me, it was done by someone who actually knew what they were doing!!! The first picture is the before shot, which looks very cute, but she is losing her curls and the back was getting kind of straggely!! (Is that how it is spelled?) Anyways, we chopped the baby hair off, and I am so glad we did. This hair cut is made for Adi Anne. It is so cute on her. She was not excited to be at the salon though. She was so excited to go, but as soon as we got there, she freaked out. I ended up holding her while they cut it. I even bribed her with a happy meal and a stylist there gave her a donut and neither of those worked. Oh well, it is done and looks so so cute!!!

Averys First day of Preschool!!!

Avery has been waiting for this day all summer long. Her first day of preschool. Actually, it was supposed to be on Monday, but the darn stomach bug got her on Sunday afternoon, so we had to keep her home on Monday.
Her school is so cute. It is on the Dixie State campus, so she goes to the same school as her daddy, which she thinks is SOOO COOL!!! Her teacher is Mrs. Provost. Her favorite activity is the moon sand and my favorite part is the observation room that I can watch and hear her, but she doesn't know I am there.
More pictures to come on October 5th, when she gets to be the CAPTAIN for the day!! We are so excited for the school year!!!
